History
The tested person belongs to the Abkhazian peasant (anxaüı) surname Shlarba from the village of Dzhgiarda. Regarding the origin of the family there is the following legend: once the Shlarba family decided to settle in Dzhgiarda (it is not known from what place they came), for this purpose they came to the Marshan, who ruled in the village. They stayed a night at the Marshans house, and the next day Marshan akïahia (manager) offered the head of the clan “amhap” (a spatula for mamaliga), which in old Abkhazia was a sign of recognition of patronage and that the clan did not claim the status of anxaüı (free peasants, community members), but recognised themselves as axuüı (slave). Outraged by such a proposal, Shlarba took a spatula and broke it on the head of the prince's akïahia. Shlarba chose a place in the village of Jgerda that did not belong to either the princes of Marshan or the anxaüı of the Tsveiba family, who, being the oldest inhabitants of Jgerda, had special status and influence. The Shlarba settled down firmly in Jgerda, had their serfs and prosperous farms in the area of Ş’laraa rxwı (Hill of the Shlarba family). In 1875, after several waves of mahajirism, 10 households of this family lived in Dzhgerda village, divided into two abipara: K’wıt’a-ipaçwa and Gwdisa-ipaçwa.

Subclade R-Z93 is associated with Indo-Iranian tribes and steppe peoples in general. It was initially brought to the territory of the Caucasus by the Scytho-Sarmatians, Alans, and then by Turkic tribes. The Y52 branch of the Shlarba surname is directly related to the Sarmatian tribes.
Y-STR markers
Nevgen
Nevgen is an online service that allows you to predict Y-chromosome haplogroup and subclade based on STR markers (short tandem repeats). It is particularly useful for those who have not yet done a deep Y-chromosome SNP test (BigY or analogues) but already have STR marker results (e.g. 12, 37, 67 or 111 markers).
Analysis of STR-markers in Nevgen service allows you to predict the position of a particular lineage on the tree of Y-chromosome haplogroups and assess the feasibility of deeper SNP-testing
For more details see the link in the header - Marker Analysis Methodology
STR Match Finder
STR Match Finder is another useful online tool for DNA genealogy that allows you to find close male relatives based on matching STR markers on the Y chromosome. It is especially relevant for those who have not yet done a deep SNP test (BigY or analogues), but want to find potential relatives among those tested from the same population or haplogroup.
STR Match Finder helps to find potential male relatives among other tested individuals from the same population. The measure of closeness is the genetic distance, which depends on the number of mutational differences
